About Austin

I received my Ph.D. in Organizational Psychology from Claremont Graduate University. My research, conducted at the Justice and Organizational Behavior Lab (JOB Lab) that I co-founded, focuses on forging fair and sustainable policies and spaces within organizations, managing remote and hybrid work arrangements and promoting effective and innovation in the workplace. My expertise expands to managing and generating innovation, strategic organizational development and change initiatives and workplace evaluations.

I also serve as the CEO of Life Source Affordable Counseling, a non-profit mental health clinic. I am dedicated to expanding access to mental health services for under-resourced communities and changing the landscape and stigma of the mental health industry. I also serve on the Human Resources Board for the City of Riverside to assess and enhance HR policies and practices for the many departments throughout the City of Riverside.

Further, I’m a Professor of Business at the UC Riverside (UCR) and a Professor of Psychology at UC Irvine (UCI). I co-advise the Highlander Consulting Club at UCR and focus my teaching style on fostering creative and effective professionals who can go out into the community and improve the effectiveness and impact of small and medium businesses as well as non-profit organizations.
